Chateau is a new restaurant in town located in Adhini. It is a casual dine restaurant that serves Mediterranean cuisine.

Relaxing music playing at a low volume makes it a perfect spot for a date. A lot of plants and greenery all around give the place a very peaceful and calming vibe. The menu gives you a great choice of various Mediterranean dishes and doesn’t overload you with a too big choice.

I started my review with Fresh Green Pea with Parmesan Cheese Soup. It is light, creamy and very gently seasoned and I definitely enjoyed it. As my second starter I picked Bruschetta with Tomatoes and Cheese. It looks good but a bit ordinary. And then you take a bite and the big surprise hits you. Its delicate taste of garlic and perfect seasoning was just lovely. You should definitely give this a try if you want to start off your lunch with a light and fruity dish preparing you for the mains.

Next I decided to try Chateau’s flatbreads and I picked the one with Roast Lamb with Mint, Tarragon and Red Wine Jus. The meat was well cooked and I liked the amount of seasoning and the jus it was served on.

As my only main course I chose Slow Cooked Roast Pork Slices Slathered with Honey and Mustard. The sauce was spot on and simply delicious but the meat could have been cooked for a bit longer to make it softer and juicier.

For the perfect ending of my review at Chateau I picked two desserts. Unfortunately the Gooey Chocolate Cake wasn’t as gooey as the name suggest. It was more of a chocolate sponge cake, layered with chocolate cream. Its taste was good but I was missing the gooeyness.

The second dessert I ordered is definitely a must try for all desert lovers: Churros rolled in Cinnamon Sugar served with Chocolate Ganache. They were perfectly fried, crispy from the outside and soft on the inside. And dark chocolate ganache to dip in the churros is always a great combination.

To sum it up, I would rate Chateau with 4 out of 5 stars. I loved the calm and relaxing vibe and the choice of music they played during my review .The interior design is exactly what I would expect from a Mediterranean style restaurant. A lot of white and turquoise gives it a really nice open and uncluttered feeling to take a deep breath and just relax for some time.  The staff was very friendly and not too intrusive. And that is very important to enjoy a great lunch. Every dish was perfectly seasoned and fit very well to the Mediterranean theme.
