Flying Saucer at Nehru Place

After a small break time for the next review! This time we took a ride to the new destination and visit a new (for us) place, make a review and tell you what do we think about Flying Saucer at Nehru Place 🙂

Restaurant is located at the metro station in Epicuria Mall so you shouldn’t have problems to get there as it is very easy to find. Flying Saucer is a one big open space so you will definitely not feel claustrophobic in here. Colors dominating inside are different shades of brown. You can feel here relaxed and comfortable but it is nothing extra-ordinary as well as you can’t find any special decorations in here. A piece of the nice ambience is created by the slogans on the windows and beverage coasters. There is an outdoor area where it’s nice to chill in the evening (or during the day in winter when it’s not that hot! :p ).

Two of the ordered beverages were very nice and at the same time refreshing : Strawberry & Mint Shake and Spa Smoothie (cucumber and basil). Lavender and Lemon Iced Teas tasted completely the same (such a shame because we like lavender flavor) and they both had definitely too much sugar. We also chose two cocktails which we soooo strong that it felt like drinking pure alcohol so unfortunately we had to give them back.

Menu looks quite regular but the taste of the dishes was incredible! First super nice surprise came with the Chicken & Asparagus Saffron Soup. Delicate and full of taste was a perfect start of the feast. Calamari in the Calamari Salad should had been fried a bit shorter but the combination of all the ingredients was delicious. We highly recommend Tempura Prawns – fried to perfection and served with a very nice dip. Colorful Vegetarian Mezze Platter was not only a pleasure for our eyes but also for the palate. Out of mains we decided to distinguish four: Spicy BBQ Chicken Pizza, Leek & Spinach Risotto, Grilled Chicken and Grilled Norwegian Salomon. All of these were unique because of its’ presentations and tastes but basically all of the ordered dishes were very nice.
